One-click access to Facebook with Facebook Lite for Chrome

If you are die hard Facebook user you are probably keeping the website open in your browser all the time.  Maybe because you want to be available for Facebook chat or because you like to receive notifications about new messages or updates when they happen, and not at a later time. If you close the Facebook page, you won’t receive any of the updates or options.

Facebook Lite for Chrome is a Google Chrome extension that adds one-click access to all the Facebook features that you like. Plus, it keeps you informed even if you close the Facebook page in the browser. As long as the browser window itself is open, you will receive messages and notifications.

The extension adds an icon to the browser’s address bar that acts both as an indicator of new messages and as the central hub for all Facebook activities. A red number indicates if new messages or notifications are waiting for you. A left-click on the icon displays the main interface of the extension.

Here you see listed links to your news feed, notifications, messages, events and friend requests. A click on any of the items in the sidebar displays the information right on the screen. Red icons are highlighting updates so that you know where to click to see what’s new on Facebook. You can also use the search at the top to find specific information on Facebook.

The biggest advantage of Facebook Lite for Chrome is that it provides you with Facebook updates even if you are not on the site. Those information are just a click away, and if you want, you can click right through to Facebook to read the updates there on the official site. You can alternatively post replies or updates right from within the interface the extension makes available to you.
